FAQs

Who is Biobuddy and what is your focus?

Biobuddy is a new health technology company that creates software — we are focused completely on making being healthy easier. Unlike many of the large technology companies that develop health tracking software, our sole mission is improving people's health. The data you allow Biobuddy to track is yours and yours only.

Does Biobuddy sell or share any of my personal information to third party advertisers?

We don’t sell your personal information and we don't share it for personalized advertising.  We may communicate only aggregated population data — this means, for example, we may say that 40% of our members show indications of high blood pressure.

What if I want to share my data with my coach or doctor?

Biobuddy may allow you to share your own personal information. You always control if, how, and with whom you want any data shared in this respect, and you can control the specific data, if any, you decide to share. You can also delete your account and all data associated with it at any time.

Who controls what personal information my Biobuddy account integrates?

You control all the data coming into and out of your account, including all biometrics and medical records related to your account. In other words, you always need to initiate and approve or deny any potential data integration or data exports.

Is it possible for my account to be hacked or a data breach to occur?

Unfortunately, this possibility exists with any software technology — but, we mitigate the potential by employing strong data encryption methodologies and complying with all applicable regulations such as HIPAA to ensure the highest level of information security. After all, we wouldn’t want our own health information getting hacked. However, in the event a hack or breach occurs, affected users would be notified and steps would be taken to mitigate any potential damage.
